There is a need of
preparation for the Lord's return. The Lord Jesus has definitely promised
to return. He said "In my father's house are many mansion, If it were
not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go
and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto
myself, that where I am there ye maybe also."---John 14:2-3.
In John 14:1---he said "Let not
your heart be troubled, ye believe in God, believe also in me." This
is a clear cut, unequivocal promise, the meaning of which there is no
possibility of mistaking. The Master Himself said, "I will come
again." And again, He said "I go away and come again."
To the unbelieving Pharisees and
scribes, just before his betrayal, He said in Matt 23:29,"Ye shall
not see me henceforth till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the
name of the Lord."
When instructing His disciples in
answer to their question as to what would be the sign of His coming and
the end of the world, Jesus said, "Then shall appear the sign of the
Son of Man in heaven with power and great glory." And again he said
to his disciple, "The Son of Man shall come in the glory of His
Father with His holy angels.
When adjured by the high priest at
His trial, Jesus answered in Matt 26:64,"Hereafter shall ye see the
Son of Man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of
heaven." You must meet God someday, and in the last chapter of the
Bible this same Jesus repeats three times to His servant John this truth
of His second coming. He said in Rev 22:7--- Behold I come quickly,"
verse 20---"Surely I come quickly."
"And my reward is with me to
give to every man according as his work shall be." This testimony of
the Savior should be enough to create conviction in every heart which
accepts Him as their Guide and Teacher. There is no doubt here. Jesus is
coming again.
In Heb 9:27-28---"And as it is
appointed unto man once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was
once offered to bear the sins of many; And unto them that look for him
shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation." For we
must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ.
The soul that sinneth, it shall die,
for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through
Jesus Christ our Lord. The last note of warning to a doomed world; the
harvest is ripe.
Where shall you be when the first
trumpet sounds? When it sounds so loudly as to wake up the dead. And those
that are sleeping in the dust of the earth shall be awakened. They shall
kick the cover lid of dust from their faces, and stand before the great
judgment seat of Christ to give account for the deeds done in the body.
Friends, what shall your answer be? What will you do with Jesus? Are you
prepared to meet thy God?
Where will you
be tomorrow if you die today?
