One Must And Three Cant's

What is the state of our so-called modern Christianity? Christianity today, for the most part, is in a state of degeneracy. It is a "sin you must", "you cannot live holy", "you cannot be perfect", "you cannot live up to Christ command" Christianity. These are the one must and three cant's of a professed Christian, and there is not a word of truth in them. The reason why modern-day Christian cannot do these things is because they do not want to.

First, let us take up the "sin you-must Christian". He says that no man can live without sinning more or less everyday. Now let us go to the scripture and prove the sin you must religion is false doctrine and untrue. I Thessalonians 5:23 -tells us..."And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." Now when Paul says, "And I pray...be preserved blameless," what does that mean? It could not possibly mean that you must sin, because if you sinned, how could you be blameless?

Now let us take 2Thess 3:3 "But the Lord is faithful who shall establish you, and keep you from evil." This very plainly tells us that the Lord will keep us from evil, and this certainly means all evil and not some of it, and what is evil but sin? Therefore, if we are kept from evil, we are kept from sin also. Rom 6:6 "Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed that henceforth we should not serve sin." Now can you honestly say that a man must sin when Paul, who was inspired by God, said that henceforth you should not serve sin? So, if you sin you cannot be of God, for God's Word say's in John 8:34-"Verily, verily I say unto you, Whoever commiteth sin is a servant of sin." Then in John 3:8- "He that commiteth sin is of the devil for the devil sinneth from the beginning.." And in Matt 7:18--- "A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit." Therefore you must be one or the other, a good tree or an evil tree, for you cannot be both. So you "sin you must professors" had better quit sinning and turn to God before you wake up and find in the lake of fire. And that is when all will have to say, "I was wrong". But then it will be too late to acknowledge it, so you had better renounce it now and seek the Lord with all of your heart while He may be found; call ye upon him while he is near."...Isa 35:6

Now let us take the "you-cannot-be-holy professors" who say that no one is holy but God. God's Word tells us in 1 Pet 1:16-"Be ye holy for I am holy." Now that one scripture blows the " you-cannot-be-holy" doctrine to bits, and prove that it is wrong and there is no way of getting around it. Also in Heb 12:10-"For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure, but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. In Heb 12:14-it says, "Follow peace with all men and holiness without which no man shall see the Lord". This scripture very plainly tells us that if we do not have holiness, we shall not see the Lord. In other words, if we do not have holiness, we are lost and on our way to a devil's hell. The only way to get holiness is to repent and forsake our sins and then live a life free from sin.

In Romans 11:16----Paul tells us, "For if the firstborn be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches." So if Christ is holy, He being the root, we the branches are also holy and bear holy fruit in our work and lives for Christ. Also in Eph 5:27- it says, "That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish." Now, when the scriptures refer to the Church, or God's house, being holy it stands to reason that his congregation or household would have to be holy, too. And in Romans 12:1- "I beseech you therefore, ebrethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." Here Paul tells us that it is our reasonable service to present our bodies a living sacrifice unto God. In Rom 6:19- Paul urges us to yield our members servants to righteousness unto holiness. Isaiah 35:8- "And it shall be called the way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it." Now this verse says very plainly that the unclean shall not pass over it and that means that the unsaved and unholy shall never pass over it. So, if people say they cannot be holy, then they will never see the Lord. So you who believe that you cannot be holy, better change your way of thinking before it is eternally too late.

Now let us take the "you cannot be perfect people." When someone who claims to be a Christian says that he cannot be perfect, he is a liar one way or another , for God told Abram in Gen 17:1- "I am the almighty God; walk before me and be thou perfect." Since God commanded Abram to be perfect, everyone of God's children is commanded to be perfect also, for God is no respector of person. Deut 18:13-"Thou shall be perfect with the Lord thy God." Thus we see that perfection was required of the children of God back in the Old Testament times. Jesus tell us in Matthew 5:48-"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Paul also tells us in 2 Tim 3:17-"That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." and in Col 1:28--"That we may present every man perfect in Jesus Christ."In 27th verse of the same chapter it says..."To present you holy and unblamable and unreprovable in his sight." Therefore if we are unblamable and unreprovable in his sight, we are perfect in His sight. James 1:4---tells us, "But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." All of this scriptures prove that we must be perfect otherwise we are not of God. These scriptures give all the proof that is needed, if you are a Christian and believe in God's holy Word. Yes, God can make us morally perfect.

Now if you still profess to be a Christian and say, after being confronted with the proof in these quoted scriptures, "I cannot be perfect" you are an unbeliever.

Now let us take the last can't which is, "you cannot live up to Christ commands." Why can't you?.....It is because you does not want to live up to them.

John 14:15-If you love me, keep my commandments." Now Christ would not have taught this if it could not been done, for if He had, He would not have been a just God, would He? Also take 1 John 5:3-"For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments: and His commandments are not grievous." John tells us that it is the love of God that we keep His commandments and that they are not grievous or hard to keep. So if you love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, you are going to keep every known command given in the bible.1 John 2:4-"He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar and the truth is not in Him."

So, friends, you had better start saying, "I can," instead of "I can't." Yes, this is the one must and the three cant's of a professed Christian. So, you who are saying "I can't" had better get a real experience of born-again salvation and start saying, "I can live a holy and perfect life or soon you will find yourself in hell and then it will be too late. And remember that is where you "can't" because it will be too late.
